Christmas 2008

Well, I haven't updated my blog since halloween so now that the holidays are over I finally sat down to post some new pictures. The last few months of 2008 have been crazy busy but full of fun and good memories.
Jared is now getting ready to start nursery next week and we are soooo excited and a little nervous. He seems anxious to go so we hope it's a good experience. Jared is a growing boy and has become so fast and loves for us to chase him. He is so friendly and social and really enjoys anything musical. He must get it from me. ha ha. He is my little dancing bug and really knows how to get his groove on.
He is learning and discovering so much so fast. If hears us laughing he starts to laugh just so he feels apart of our conversation. He loves chocolate of course and has learned how to climb up onto the kitchen table when we aren't looking. YIKES!!!
Jared is constantly talking to us in his own language with a few real words here and there and trying so hard to express his feelings. We love watching him grow and being apart of his learning and development. He is so happy and has such a loving spirit about him.
Jake is busy busy busy with work, church, and family. Jared and I keep him going all the time. He is definately a super dad and husband.

I too am keeping busy especially with the new year in Primary. We have made so many changes of this new year for the children and they seem to like them. But primary really keeps me on my toes. January and February will be very busy. Jake and I were also just called to be ward missionaries so we are excited and nervous about what that will bring our way this year. We hope to organize and prioritize our time to keep up will all we have on our plates. 2009 is going to be a busy but fun year for us and we hope to create lots of fun memories to share with you through our blog.

Christmas Pics

Grandma Debbie got Jared this fun pop up Thomas the Train and Jared just thinks this is a riot. he loves it when Jake or I climb into it with him.

what a mess!

After Jared played with his toys he started on dads.

Yikes. Me without makeup. I promise I won't post too many of these ever. But Jake got me this cookbook binder that I've been really wanting for Christmas because I love recipies and need a notebook to organize and keep them nice.

Jared loves this stuffed dog. He carries it with him all the time at home. He also loves his baby Elmo. But he gets really upset that Elmo has a pacie and that he can't take it aways since it's sewn on Elmo's hand.
Jared couldn't decide what to play with after opening his presents.

Jared wasn't so sure about the snow. But after a few minutes he got use to it.

Jake took Jared out for his first time in the snow. I made sure to bundle him all the way up since it was sooooo cold.

My mom came to visit and helped us decorate out tree. Jared was soo thrilled to see her and to have a tree in his home.

This is Jared's favorite game. He loves to climb up behind us while we are working on the computer.

Jared and I will his uncles. Nice view of St. George.

We took Jared to the Red Rocks in St. George and we all had a lot of fun playing.

We went to St George with Jake's family for Thanksgiving. It was the first time that I had been on the temple grounds there. The temple is stunning. We had so much fun but I should have listened and dressed a little warmer. Burrrr...
Jared slept the whole time in the stroller.

What a stud!!!!

While Jake and I were voting, the ladies at the stand gave Jared this sticker. He was so excited to show his patriotism.
One morning while I was running around trying to get ready. I came upon this. Jared doesn't look guilty at all.

Caught you in the act!

All Holloweened Out

This was Jared when he got home from trick or treating. He was so pooped from all the excitement. A bath was the last thing he wanted.

Happy Halloween

Jared wasn't too excited about carving pumpkins. I think he thought we were hurting the pumpkins. Poor guy, I'm sure next year will be more exciting for him.

Can you tell this was taken late at night. We all look so tired.

Word List

Since I last blogged Jared's vocabulary has grown and keeps growing. It is so fun to hear him jibber jabber around the house but every now and them if you listen close he says real words. So I've compiled a list of words that Jared can now say.

1. Banana (na na)
2. Bye Bye
3. Good Night (nigh, nigh)
4. Shoes (Shews)
5. No (nuh)
6. Dad (da da)
7. Mom (maa maa)
8. Hi (hai)

9. Car (Cah)

10. Whats that? (Dat dat)

Happy Halloween

I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch for Jared to pick out a pumpkin but we couldn't find one locally but finally he sumbled upon one but it was knee deep in mud so, we went to the store and picked one out for FHE. This next monday we will carve them. I love carving pumpkins.
This was Jared 10 minutes after that first picture. He was out and stayed out for the rest of the night. Pumpkin picking sure took it out of him.
Jake's friend Ben was so nice to invite him to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game. They just built a new stadium for the team and Jake says it is really nice. Ben, Jake , and Jeff have been friends since high school. Jake loves getting together with them.

Jared caught and still has a nasty cold. We took him to see his doctor and got some antibiotics for him. Even though he is sick he sure isn't making a sick face here in the doctor's office. He loves going to the doctor.
Yummm... He loves chocolate. I can't keep it away from him. I usually bake while he is sleeping to avoid this.
Jake's parents were so nice to let us go to they BYU football game with their tickets and they tended Jared. We had so much fun. BYU won this game. Whoa, can you say close up. This is me at the game enjoying hot cocoa
Jake and his hot cocoa. It was cold.

Corn Maze

This is Jared practicing being Frankenstein at the corn maze. We had so much fun. We never did find our way out of the corn maze. We finally gave up after an hour and had to exit the way we came in. How embarrassing.
Jared loved the corn stalks. He wanted to run in between them but that wasn't allowed.

This was our favorite. This slide was so big and fast. It's one of those slides that give you butterflies inyour tummy. I was suprised to find out that Jared loved it too. I thought we would be scared.

1...2...3!!!

video

This is so much fun. Jared loves to play this game.

What a Clown

This is not Jared's costume. It's mine. Yep, I'm going to be a clown. Jared is actually going to be Frankenstein. I can't wait to post pics of him in his costume. But Jared loves my wig and loves to clown around in it. ha ha.

My mom came to visit for a whole week and we had so much fun with her here. Jared was so bummed when she left. We literally moped around for two days.
Jared is getting better at coloring. He still tries to eat the crayons but not as much now.

Hi Readers...

Sorry that some of the posts are out of order so you will have to use your imagination.
Lets see.... what have we been up to. Well, Jake and Jared both celebrated their birthdays in August, Jake got a promotion, I've been called to Primary President and Jared can walk, climb, and run. We have had a busy few months but we are holding it all together and having fun.
Jared is a growing boy. I can't believe my baby is one now. He has really been the joy of this past year. Jake and I have been amazed at how much a tiny person can teach you. Jared loves to jabber in his baby gibberish all the time now and he loves other kids and adults. He is mister social of our ward and everyone know who Jared is. Our ward members are so nice to they come up to him to talk and play all the time during church. Jared is just chomping at the bit to go to nursery but he keep telling him soon, just a few more months. For now he goes with dad to Elders while I am in Primary. Jared looks for anything that he can climb on or crawl into. I call him Mr. Independent. He want to do everything but with no help. I'm so happy for the confidence he shows already. He gets very frustrated if something doesn't come easy. He wants to do everything NOW. :) He also loves the park, especially the slide and swings. He can now climb up to the slide and go down all by himself. He amazes me everyday. Jared will eat anything as long as it's not green vegies or eggs. Other than that he has a healthy appetite. Jake and I are well and hope all of you are well and having fun.

Jared get his Groove on.

Jared loves this TV show on the Disney channel. It's called, "The Imaginenation Movers." Everymorning he loves to scatter his toys and then dance in the middle of the room. He goes on forever. Jake and I just have hoot watching him go. He gets really into it. Here is just a snip bit of his dance moves.

Playing with Grandpa Orton

Jared was having a ball playing with grandpa Orton, he really liked his keys and jacket.

Jared, looking to dad for a rescue
back home and the hair cut is done. The hair lady did a great job with Jared. She was sooo nice and patient.

1st hair cut at the Salon

Getting ready to got to the Salon for his first official hair cut. I have trimmed Jared before but he won't hold still so I thought maybe a professional could get him better.
He has no idea what he is in for
This is the lady to cut his hair. He liked her till she sprayed his hair down with water.
The tears are coming he won't even eat his goldfish that I was distracting him with. NICE TRY MOM!
This look just broke my heart. It was as if he was saying, "Why are you letting this lady torture me?"

Happy Birthday Jared

Jake and I got Jared this little airplane that rolls and lights up and all the above and Jared just can't seem to leave it alone. He loves this toy.
Grandma Debbie with jared right before he blows out his candle.
I wanted to let Jared dig into his own birthday cake but by the time we got to it, he was soooo tired and ready for bed but he still mustered up enough strength to eat some while Grandma fed it to him. He did love it. Next year we will have to let him dig into it.
"Awww... Soooo tired but must eat the cake"
Yummm....

Jared's 1st Birthday

This is Jared in his new carseat, we couldn't wait to face him forward so as soon as he turned one he put him in a new carseat and he loves it.
Jared on the morning of his birthday. You can see the excitement on his face.
I also made Jared's cake. After doing Jake's I was able to gain some more confidence.
Chocolate Cake is the best.

Birthday Guy/ Mt. Tipanogas Caves

Jake and I have been wanting to hike up Mt. Tipanoga to go through the caves all summer long. Well we finally got the opportunity thanks to Jake's Mom for watching Jared for us. It was so much fun even though we didn't get to go through the caves since the tickets were sold out. But the hike offered some great exercise that about killed me. But we did it.

This is totally how we felt when it was all over.

Jake's Birthday Cont.

I decided to attempt making Jake's Birthday Cak and this was the product of my efforts. I learned a lot and hope to keep practicing so I can get better. But this cake was sooo tasty. It had Cherry Chip cake with Vanilla frosting. Yummm....
I was so excited about Jake's cake and presents that we celebrated as soon as he got home from work.
For the rest of the day we went to a mini golf place which was so much fun and Jared was soooo good and had a good time.

Jake chose to go to Iggy's for his birthday lunch and they brought him out this wonderful sunday afterwards. I don't know who enjoyed it more, Jake or Jared? Hmmmm...

Catch Up

Wow, it's been about a month since I bloged last. We have had busy July. But that what summer is supposed to be, full of lots of fun things to do. My parents were here for three weeks for a family reunion, and my dad's softball tournament. It was so nice to see them and have them here. This month, Jake won a Nintendo Wii at work, and Jared starting Walking. Thats right Jared can Walk. I was sooo suprised, It all started the week he turned 10mo. He had been walking around while holding on the things for quite some time but one day I noticed him with the remote and I went to take it from him and then he started running from me while holding onto the couch then once he ran out of couch he kept going. I was stunned by what I was seeing so I stopped and watch. He then realized what he just did and quickly dropped to the ground. Ever since he has been on the move. Yesterday he turned 11mo. I can't believe my baby is almost a year old. I'm very excited to face him forward in his carseat. Jared eats and loves just about anything. He can feed himself fingerfood just fine so now we are working on learning how to use a spoon. He loves his sippy cup and the doctor has allowed me to give him whole milk already. He is a growing boy. Jared also loves to make noises with his tounge and point his finger at things. He is getting sooo good at waving hello and goodbye but only if he knows who you are or else you get a deer in headlights look. He loves to walk to the mail box with me but it takes a very long time since he has to stop and touch and look at every speck on the sidewalk. But whats the rush? We go for daily walks and swimming every few days. Jake has been teaching him to go down the slide all by himself but that one is taking some time and thats alright with me.
As for me, well, I've been super busy with church stuff and being a mom. I love my daily walks with Jared and enjoy making family dinners. I think thats my favorite time of the day, when all three of us sit down and enjoy each other's company.
Jake has been super busy with work, as he has a demanding client right now but he continues to excel. He has also been soooo helpful in our ward with helping so many with moving and volunteering to clean the church and watch the kids in Nursery during Relief Society Activities. He also is enjoying teaching Elder's Quorum and really puts a lot of thought into each lesson. I'm so grateful for all he does and his example to our family. Last but not least, our nephew, Alex Gordon Brown was born a week ago and is soooo cute and we are happy for his safe arrival.

Introducing Our Nephew Alex

This is my brother Gordon's new little baby boy. He was really hoping to have son of his own and he got his wish. He was born July 23, 2008 @10:02pm, weighing 7lb, 12oz and 19in. long. Gordon and Amy say he is really sweet and loves to be held. I can't wait to meet him.
This is his big sister Brook holding him. She loves him sooo much and can't get enough of him.

Grandam with two of her three grandkids
Since Alex's bellirueben (spelling?) was too high, he had to where this blanket with lights in it to get the count to come down. He is doing better now. I can't help but think he looks sooo cute, like a glow worm.

New Wii Game

My brother was sooo nice to send Jake a Wii game for the New Wii he won at work by completing his goals first and by going above and beyond. He only has two games that he plays over and over so when Gordon found out he won a Wii he was so sweet and sent Jake a new game for it. This is the package when it arrived.
This is Jared trying to eat the package
Wow, Endless Ocean. This is a really cool game about scuba diving. It's actually really educational because it teaches you the names of all different kind of sea life. Thank you sooo much Gordon & Amy.

Jared walking at 10 months

Jared started walking the week he turned 10months old. This video was taken that week. He can now walk with me to the mail box everyday. Please ignore the date on the video that was the date I downloaded it off my camera. Sorry. I will have to fix that.

Fun Times

Jake and I were cleaning and jake had this stool out ot clean off the cealing fan and before we knew it Jared had climbed up it all by himself. I quickly ran to make sure he didn't let go and fall but I was soo suprised he climbed up there. We didn't know he could do that. I guess I should have know since he loves climbing up Grandma's stairs. He was so proud of himself and didn't want to get down. Go Jared!!!

The other day I heard Jared just crying in the bath tub which was unusual because he loves his bath time but then I heard Jake laughing. "Hmmmm...." I thought. "What is going on?" I look in the bathroom and this is what I saw. I think daddy was enjoying this much more than Jared.
Poor Jared. But how can you help but laugh.
This was another moment when I left Jared and Jake alone.

Family Reunion/Alpine Loop

My brother Bill and I after the reunion. We were ready to go home and rest. Bill few in for just a few hour for the reunion. He hadn't slept in over 24 hours because he was out boating the night before. We was soooo pooped. But I'm so happy I got to see him.
All the kids played a giant version of Twister. It was hilarious to watch.
This was Jared's way of playing horse shoes.
This the covered picnic area where we ate and visted. Here are some cousins staying cool in the shady pavilion after lunch was over.
This is a picture of the area. It was at Mutual Dell located in the Alpine Loop in Utah. It was soo pretty and all the facilities needed for a reunion. What fun.

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Here are all the Orton Siblings at the Airport to welcome home their brother Nathan after a two year LDS church mission to El Salvador. What a happy time. I love how Jared and his cousin Ben look like they are about to go at it.
Jake and Jared at FHE with the family.
Jared on the swings at his Aunt Lori's and Uncle Jon's place in Bountiful. He loves the swings.
I fell asleep on our air mattress after my mom left town and when I woke up I found Jared sound asleep next to me so I quietly got up to take this cute picture.

Ogden Union Train Station

Jake and I took Jared to see the old fashioned trains. It was a lot of fun to climb inside and outside of them.

After we went to the train station we went to the famous ice cream parlor called Farr's. Jared loves ice-cream and wasn't happy unless he had a mouthfull at all times.

Yumm.... Chocolate!

I was making brownies one morning and Jake said he wanted to lick the spoon so I handed it to him with all trust and walked away for a few minutes. When I walked back into the kitchen I found Jake and Jared on the floor and Jared had the spoon with this all over his face. Jake was laughing so hard he didn't even care about the mess. I couldn't help but laugh and quickly grab the camera. OH and when I took the spoon away Jared threw his first temper tantrum. Poor guys, he just loves the sweets.

Jared and the Crab

I bought Jared this inflatable crab for him to sit in while in the pool. He loves it and enjoys kicking around in it. It has made pool time a lot of fun.

Lagoon Baby!

Jake's work provided a free day of fun at Lagoon. Lagoon is a huge thems/water/amuzement park here in Utah. We had a ton of fun and Jared loved the Marry go Round. He was sooo tired but could not bring himself to take a nap, he just wanted to be a part of all the fun.

Salt Lake Bee's Baseball game

Jared is loves to swing at the park. He giggles and giggles and thinks it's the greatest thing.
Jon and Laurie where so nice to invited us to go the the Bee's game with them. We had a great time and Jared was sooo good and decided to take a nap during the game.

Jared goes swimming

We went to St. George for a long weekend and took Jared swimming for the 1st time. Well, lets just say it was a very memorable experience as he hated every moment of it. He wanted nothing to do with the water. Since then we have taken him a few more times at our place and he is really starting to enjoy the pool.

Yumm... ICE CREAM

Jared loves, I mean really loves ice-cream. If he see's it, he has to have it. But, can you blacme him? Jake and I have to wait for him to go to bed to have ice-cream or else he goes crazy for it. Sometimes I catch Jake sneaking an ice-cream bar when Jared's isn't watching.

1st Pair of Shoes

This was taken in May, this is the day Jared got his 1st pair of shoes. He wasn't too sure of them at first and would just stare at them but since then he is getting better and better. He is ready to take off in them. He is size 41/2 wide. Poor guy, he has his mother's feet.

Update

We have been enjoying warmer weather here and are very excited as summer hits. Jared is almost 9 months old. He can stand up on his own and walk while holding onto the furniture all by himself. He has two teeth and loves to have crawling races with us. He has recently learned how to flush the toilet so now I have to keep the bathroom doors closed at all times. He also can feed himslef crakers and small treats and snacks and loves to sing with me in church (well more like let out a loud bust of sound). Oh, and he will now wave goodbye. We can't believe how much he is growing. Too fast if you ask me. He is so well tempered and always has a smile for everyone.
Jake is still working hard and playing on a work soccer team and loving it. We have lately been enjoying evening walks together as a family and exploring more of Ogden.
I have been keeping busy with Scouts, Primary and planning our next Enrichment service activity. Jared is my highlight. He has been so much fun to play with and watch grow. He has such a tender, sweetness about him that brings a calming spirit to our home. We are so grateful for one another and the experiences we are having together.

Our trip to Seattle

Brook is Jared's Cousin. She is almost three and loved playing and watching Jared. She was so gentle and cute with him. She even came into our room first thing in the morning to find Jared.
They were both up way past their bed times but just couldn't contain the excitement.
Grandma Brown with her two grandkids, soon to be three.

Sorry they are out of order but this is Jared on the plane ride home. He was sooooo good.

Jake loved learning how to master my dad's tractor. He thought it was the coolest thing.

Jake and I went on a geo cache hunt with the GPS and found it. We are considering a new hobby.
Jared was caught in the food pantry by grandma but that didn't stop him from taking as much as he could off the shelves. He does the same thing at home in my cubbords.

This is the River that flows across from my parent's cabin. Everyday Jake, myself, and Jared would go for a walk or hike. The woods were absolutely gorgeous and smelled so fresh and clean.

Grandma has so many fun toys for Jared to play with. This wagon was a hit.
Here I am making tamales with my mom. It has been a family tradition for many years. I have missed out on it for the past 7-8 years but was able to be there this year thanks to my mom.
The tamales are cooking out on the screened porch in the back in the turkey fryer. They smelled so yummy.

Here is Jake and Jared going up the escalator at Salt Lake City Airport. We love being able to put Jared in a snuglie when we travel. The nice thing is, you don't have to take him out of it when going through security. It is so handy and hands free. Jared had a blast looking at everyone that passed bye.

Jared wanted to stand the whole time during the flight so Jake took this pic while sitting down looking at Jared between his kness holding on for dear life as we sailed the blue skies.
My mom was so nice to have a walker for Jared to play in while visiting them at their cabin in WA. He loved being able to move around as he wanted. Thanks mom a ton.

Ready, SMILE

Jared loves the camera. He definately knows how to work it. He was so good during his photo session especially since he was still recovering from a double ear infection. Don't worry, he is all better now.

Day in the Park

We went to the park near by and tossed the frisbee around and Jared had fun playing on the blanket but when he came to the edge he discovered the grass and he didn't want anything to do with it. We had a great time on this warm spring day.

This was Jared's first time down the slide, I don't know who was more scared, me or Jared?
Jared and Jake are such buddies, Jared loves to pal around with dad.

Best Buds

Jake loves to put hats Jared and then Jared gets super excited. I think he likes to be like his dad.

Ready, Set, GO!!!

Jared and I love to have crawling races down the hall. He has super turbo legs and always manages to win. Ignore my wet hair and no makeup, I must admit I'm pretty brave for posting this pic. At least Jared looks good. ha ha

Up and Over, Down and Under

Jared loves to crawl under his toy. He much rather be under it than be inside it. We love to watch him discover new ways of doing things.

They'll never find me here....

Packed & Ready to Go...

Ok, so I'm the worst at updating my blog. I have every intent but then I always find myself doing other things that take up my time. I have been loving motherhood. It has been fun, loving, hard, trying, but always rewarding. Jared is growing so fast and Jake and I can't believe how much he has already learned. He is a little over seven months now. He loves fruit and gold fish. He now can sit up, crawl, say da da, and whoa. And if he is in a really good mood, he can wave goodbye. He has been wanting to stand lately so we hold his hands to steady him so he can stand up and look around. We love to practice walking with him but know that is a little ways off....we hope.....
Jared had his first ear ache two weeks ago but recovered quickly with the help of some antibiotics. It was the real fist time he has been sick. That made for some long nights but we are happy to see him feeling much better.
Jake is well, busy with work but always makes time for his family. I have been busy too with church callings and being a mom to Jared. Our family is well and he hope all of you are well too.

Back by popular demand. I finally updated our family blog. Sorry for taking so long. This past month has been so busy and full of fun. We celebrate Valentines, my b-day, and our 3 year anniversary. We have had family and friends here and also a suprise visit from my mom from Mazama, WA. Don't ask where it is. :)
Jake has been doing really well at work and always makes time for us. We have been blessed with his job only being 5-10 minutes away. We see him often and love having the time to spend together. Jake has also been busy with his Men's Soccer league and coordinated the Elder's basketball team. He serves so diligently and is a good sport about a lot of things.
I have been busy with cub scouts, primary and enrichment. I love serving in all the areas even when some weeks have been quite challenging trying to balance all three and be there for Jared. But hopefully after March things will start to settle down. I was so nice be have my mom here and the big help she always is to me. We look foward to visiting them in April.
Jared has been so busy himself. He is now getting ready to crawl. He can get up onto all fours and he lunges and then back down. But he is a determined boy. He never gives up. He is growing my the second. He is grown out of so many clotes. He fits perfectly in 9-12 mo. But the problem is, he is only 6 mo. old. By the end of March, I'm worried he will be too big for the 9-12mo clothing. He loves to laugh and his favorit song is the ABC song. No matter how upset he is, if we start singing it, he stops and smiles. We love it. It has been our secret weapen. :) I can't turn my head for a second because he has figured out how to move all about the room. I don't know how he doesn't it but he manages to get to every sq. inch in any space. I love how active and curious he is about things. He loves to explore and put everything in his mouth. He has also figured out that if he screams in a high pitch manner he gets our attenion. At first this was a fun game but know we are trying to teach new ways of getting our attention. He is so much fun and we are loving every moment of him.

Enjoying some R&R

Jake and I were making dinner and when we checked on Jared he found him just chillin. He was having a good ol time.

26? When did that happen?

The Fam was nice enough to come over and celebrate my birthday. We had pizza, bread, salad, cake, and ice-cream. We enjoyed intense game of Catch Phrase afterwards.

Peek a Boo

Jared loves to play Peek a Boo in his aquariam tunnel

Doing the Laundry

Jared loves it when we let him sit in the laundry basket, don't worry the clothes are alwasy clean. He thinks it's his little hang out.

Squash....YUCK!!!

Tickle Time

Bad to the Bone

When I wasn't looking Jake tried to spike Jared's hair. He likes the rocker look.

Daddy Time

Jake doesn't like this pictures of himself but I like it. This was taken at night right before Jared when to bed. Lets see how long this picture lasts before Jake takes it off. :) ha ha

Stud Muffin

I love combing Jared's hair but Jake perfers the natural look. So when dad's gone I comb Jared's hair. He will never know....

Happy New Year 2008

Now that the Holidays have come to an end I have finally sat down to update our blog and to share with you some of the fun times we have had these past few weeks. Over Christmas it snowed like crazy and Jared was so taken with the white snow flakes falling on his nose. We had a wonderful Christmas here in Ogden. We woke up early Christmas morning to open gifts and then hurried off to Bountiful to be with Jake's family for the remainder of the day and to talk with Jake's younger brother Nathan who is serving in El Salvador. Elder Nathan Orton called early Christmas morning and we all took turns passing the phone around to hear of all his experiences. We had to be there at 9am to catch his call so Jake, Jared and I hoped in the car wearing our PJ's to make it on time. We had to leave extra early since the roads were bad from the heavy snow fall during the night. We had a wonderful time visiting with family the whole day. Jared loved jumping up and down in the Johnny Jump Up that Grandma Orton set up. Ben was even so nice to help Jared and to show him how to jump.
For New Years we again spent the eveing in Bountiful and played games till we dropped. Jake stayed up till 3am playing the X-Box. We were wiped out the next day. But he says it was well worth it.
Just yesterday we set up Jared's booster chair and he absolutely loved it. We loved being so high and looking at us at eye level for the first time during dinner. Today I took him in to see the Doctor for his 4 month check up. He is growing, growing, and growing. He passed with flying colors. The Doctor gave me permission to start him on some solid foods. So he had his first Rice Cereal tonight. He wasn't so sure of it, in fact he cried the whole time. He wanted his bottle so bad. But he finished and survived. Afterwords, I felt so bad that Jake and I decided to comfort him with a small bottle. That way he didn't feel cheated out of a bottle.
We hope you all are well and enjoyed your holidays.

Ogden Christmas Village

We went to this fun outdoor Christmas Village. They have the whole park filled with tiny shops, hand crafted with puppets inside with different Christmas scenes. We had a blast. It was really cold.

Oh, Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Instead of getting a tree, we thought we would just decorate Jared. Just Kidding. ha ha

I'll get you for this

Jared gave me this funny look, as if to say, "This outfit is so embarressing." He looked too cute.

Christmas Party

My 1st Christmas

This is Jared getting ready to go to our Ward's Christmas Party. He looked like one giant Candy Cane. Thanks Grandma Brown :)
